The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated postdoctoral associate to work under the supervision of Prof. Marwa Chafii on physical layer security for integrated sensing and communication.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related field.?

The positions?require experience with at least one of the following areas: Wireless Communications, Communication Theory, Optimization Theory, Signal Processing.

Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary?teams, and scientific creativity are essential.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

Qualifications

Candidates will have an academic record appropriate for a tenured appointment as full professor in one of the departments within the Division of Engineering at NYUAD and a demonstrated track record of working closely with undergraduate and graduate students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The incoming Dean will have demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring and promoting exceptional faculty and providing an environment in which they can flourish through meaningful discourse and support for research, scholarship, and teaching, and a record of encouraging and facilitating innovation and collaboration across disciplines.

The successful candidate will be an individual with commitment to the ideals of a liberal arts education and to a strong research agenda, and will ideally have experience with multi-disciplinary collaboration, global

education, and faculty and program development and capacity for administrative leadership, including supervision of staff, budget and financial planning, and operational oversight.

As a Study Skills Lecturer you will work??in close collaboration with subject lecturers to develop and teach study skills within the curriculum across a range of HE programmes from Foundation to Masters’ Level. Responsibilities include:


	Designing/documenting bespoke courses, digital resources, workshop plans and individual schemes of work as required to develop study skills in the curricula
	Delivering/evaluating teaching and identifying areas for potential improvement to?enhance the quality of teaching, learning and overall student experience in accordance with the?GBS’s Learning and Teaching strategy

	Participating in, and occasionally leading, CPD to?maintain currency in specialist areas and in inclusive teaching practices
	Providing feedback on individual and class progress in their understanding of academic writing and other relevant study skills
	Providing?tutorial consultations with students, constructive comments individual to each student's need, explaining where work fails to meet assessment criteria and suggesting ways to improve their work / working practices
	Recording details from these appointments for statistical, evaluation and quality purposes, and to refer students to other services as appropriate

Essential Requirements:


	Master's degree in relevant subject area (PhD desirable)?
	Successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes
	Proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs

The newly established Abu Dhabi Precision Medicine Virtual Research Institute (ADPMVRI) at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applicants for a research assistant position. The Institute aims to develop a comprehensive research infrastructure - whereby diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of health disorders are tailored to each patient. In the context of brain health, the Institute supports several projects aiming to 1) understand the basis of brain disorders and health outcomes of the most common non-communicable diseases in the UAE and 2) integrate large multi-omics and neuroimaging datasets.

Applicants with a strong interest in genomics and brain health research, as well as good analytical skills are encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities of the research assistant will include:


	Conducting literature reviews
	Planning data collection and participant recruitment
	Performing analysis of genomic and/or neuroimaging data


The research assistant will also assist in training new lab members and disseminating research findings through peer-reviewed scientific journal articles.

The ideal candidate must have a background in neuroimaging and/or genomics data analytics. The candidate is expected to have programming experience with MATLAB, python, and/or R.? Familiarity working within a high-performance computing environment or machine learning and artificial intelligence applications is a plus. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, and articulated oral and written communication skills are essential
