This role is an opportunity to join a diverse, creative and agile team at the heart of a research intensive, Russell Group university. This role has been designed to meet increased demand for policy engagement support from our globally ?renowned researchers in the faculty of Environment and Life Sciences. The successful candidate will be capable of moving between a broad range of subject areas to support colleagues a diverse range of disciplines. They will be adept at influencing senior decision makers within government with a track record of engaging with parliamentarians in their role of scrutinising the executive. As part of the national agenda of 'Mission based policy making' the successful candidate will have good grasp of the current political drivers for policy change, as well as a strong understanding of the changing nature of health and social care at a regional level in an English context, specifically an understanding of Integrated Care Systems. This role is well suited to those with a background in HE knowledge brokerage, public affairs (particularly for third sector organisations), local or national government or parliamentary support (i.e. MP staffers, POST or Select Committee support staff). This role will work closely with senior leadership within the faculty and across the University. As a hybrid team we have an expectation of part time team members being on campus?at least one day a week.?

About the Rol

The Research Assistant will be working under the general direction of the Professor of Healthy Ageing Support & Care and alongside associated team members, to provide a range of administrative activities to support data collection and management, basic analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant funded projects within the Caring Futures Institute

The Research Assistant will have proven ability to perform activities across the research pathway, which may include but is not limited to grant/ethics applications, literature reviews, qualitative and/or quantitative data collection and analysis, and report preparation. This role also requires facilitating communications and organising project team meetings, compiling meeting agendas, minutes and reports when required.

King’s College London Endodontic unit is one of the largest in the world with 35 specialist trainees in Endodontics, a large number of clinical teachers and an intense research activity:? the undergraduate teaching unit is based on floor 21 at Guy’s Hospital and fully equipped with digital radiography, operative microscopes and is supported by a well trained team of experienced nurses and radiographers.

About the role:

Part time teachers are required to teach within the Endodontology department at undergraduate level.

Teaching is mainly clinically based but also involves delivering seminars and one to one student feedback.? Support is provided.??

Applicants should be fully GDC Registered Dentists with a good level of experience. Specialist Endodontist status is an advantage.??

This is a part time post (8 Hours per week, every Tuesday) and you will be offered an indefinite contract. Please note that as this role is part time, the salary amended on this advert will be amended accordingly.

China, Wenzhou Longwan International Apt

Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities along with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive, public university in the state of New Jersey that is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. About the Job:

The College of Science, Mathematics, and Technology seeks highly motivated individuals to join the Chemistry department at WKU.

The faculty position is a full-time assignment, practical for the start of the 2025 Spring semester or later if positions are unfilled. These positions are full-time assignments appointed on a 3-year contract at the first instance and are renewable upon successful reappointment review.

A?Lecturer?is a full-time, 11-month employee who teaches 39 credits per year. A lecturer provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Lecturers will be expected to provide high-quality teaching, student advisement, learning support services, and service to the university/college/school/program and/or professional community and perform related work as required. Lecturer positions are non-tenure track. Candidates with doctorate degrees in Analytical Chemistry or closely related disciplines from reputable universities including Carnegie R1 institutions or equivalent research institutions renowned for their academic excellence in these fields.?

Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. All faculty may be required to teach General Education courses as needed. Opportunities are also available to teach disciplinary support courses.?

Faculty positions at WKU offer:

$66,000-$72,000 for 11-month Lecturers. Qualifications

A doctorate in Analytical Chemistry or closely related fields is required. English fluency is required. Candidates should be able to teach the fundamental principles of analytical chemistry, including basic tools of analytical methods, chemical equilibria for quantitative analysis, spectrochemical analysis, and analytical separations. Expertise in operating instruments such as GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) and HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) is essential.?Candidates should also be able to teach upper-level analytical chemistry courses. In addition to teaching and student-engaging research duties, candidates are also expected to contribute to the growth of the programs, including but not limited to curriculum development, program assessment, student recruitment/advisement, senior project supervision, internship opportunities, research experiences for undergraduates (REU), etc.

The Control of Works Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision, oversight and monitoring of Estates & Facilities’ operations and projects to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and established safe working practices. You will review and develop policies, procedures and working methods to ensure the safety of Estates & Facilities operational staff, contractors and building users.

You will oversee and ensure the use and recording of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits to Work procedures. Duties also include the planning and coordination of a Health & Safety related induction, training and guidance to operational staff and contractors, maintaining associated records of training, certification, accreditation and competences.

The successful candidate will be a Health & Safety professional with a skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ Level 4 or basic professional qualification and experience with a detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation and its practical application in a similar complex organisation, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
