A switch in ministerial responsibilities at the Department for Education and Employment has left Lord Henley looking after higher education. Eric Forth, the former higher education minister, now has responsibility for teacher training and supply, various school issues, employment planning and benefit issues. Lord Henley is also responsible for student issues, research, IT, qualifications and special educational needs.
