(Photograph) - Hackney Community College was one of 23 higher and further education institutions to receive gold medals from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday. The medals are their 1996 Queen's Anniversary Prizes. Hackney's prize was for bringing young women into science. The ceremony was followed by a banquet at the Guildhall.
