Lakatos Award 1996

The London School of Economics and Political Science announced that the winner of the 1996 Lakatos Award is Abner Shimony, professor of philosophy and physics, Boston University, for his book Search for a Naturalistic World View.

Thames Valley University

Roelf Dapper and Anthony Willis, senior lecturers in the school of hospitality studies, were awarded the 1997 Hospitality Partnership Award, in recognition of their link between the school and industry.

Sheffield Hallam University

Mike Rimmington, lecturer in the school of leisure and food management, has been presented with the president's award by EuroCHRIE, the European division of the Council for Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education.
