The training bursary for part-time graduate trainee teachers (News in brief, THES , June 22) does not apply to those training to teach in further and higher education. It is interesting that the changes you report are to be backdated as this has not applied to the extension for full-time FE teacher trainees or to those with vocational qualifications pursuing a Cert.Ed. The extended support is welcome; equity of treatment across sectors would be even more so.
