Did the material that Phylomena Badsey gained from Laurie Taylor (Letters, THES , August 10) for her first-year women's studies BA course include the impression that " ad hominem " is a sexist phrase?

" Hominem " means "person"; it is Laurie's implied translation as "man", that is sexist.
